Who is this Christ to whom believers are united?
He is the eternal son of God, the same in substance and equal in power and glory with the Father. He is the Messiah, the Anointed One, the fulfilment of the ancient hope of Israel. He is the Saviour, who lived a sinless life, died on a cross, was raised from the dead and has ascended into heaven. He is the present King and the coming judge of the universe.
